Before You Hit Submit Q/A: Wrapping up Your College Applications

With regular admission deadlines just a month away, it's crunch time for students eager to make their way unscathed through the minefield of college admissions.

After yet another cycle of all-time application highs and acceptance lows, the Class of 2023 has a tough road ahead.
Now, as they near the end of this strenuous process, it's time for them to ensure their applications are exemplary before they submit them to the elite institutions they hope to attend.

To help students feel confident before they send off their applications, we're hosting a free Q&A webinar. This presentation will cover:

  • Inside the Admissions Office: Last-Minute Tips for College Applications
  • FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions about College Apps
  • Q&A: Ask a UChicago Former Admissions Officer

A UChicago Former Admissions Officer and PhD candidate will host this free webinar on Tuesday, December 6th at 5 PM PST/8 PM EST. Attend live to take advantage of a Q&A!

FREE Webinar - PSAT/NMSQT® Now what?

by Revolution Prep

National Merit Scholarships aren’t the only things that make PSAT scores valuable. A student’s performance on the PSAT/NMSQT® is a powerful indicator of ACT/SAT readiness, and PSAT results can be a valuable tool to inform ACT/SAT preparations – if you know how to use them. So instead of throwing that score report away, bring it to this session where we will cover how to use your PSAT/NMSQT® results to identify not only whether to take the ACT or SAT, but also how to build your child’s best plan for success.

Picture Day - To Be Rescheduled

Due to the recent school closure (Boil Wanter notice), picture day will be rescheduled for a future date.

Boy Scout Troop 125

Troop-125 was founded in 1946 with the main focus on light-weight backpacking. We are thus also known as the “backpackers.” Boy Scouts offers a great opportunity for our children to explore and en joy the great outdoors. Furthermore, they will be provided with a structured environment in which to develop their independence and leadership and

communication skills. There are plenty of volunteering opportunities

to earn service hours. The highest accomplishment in scouting is the Eagle Scout rank,  which is looked upon favorably when advancing their education and/or career. Troop 125 is sponsored by St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (5308 Buffalo Speedway). We  meet there every Monday 7:30-8:30 pm, and camp monthly over the weekend (Friday  night – Sunday morning). Next summer we are going to Dan Boone Scout Camp for  summer camp. Use this link to check out the fun and excitement they have to offer: https://www.campdanielboone.org.

For more info, please visit their web site or Facebook page. No prior scouting experience is  required to participate. If interested, please e-mail Eric (ecc7550@icloud.com) or Brian (bwduffy@sbcglobal.net). We could arrange for you to visit in one of our Monday night meetings or campouts.
