Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are calling your name!

Friends of DeBakey PTO, you're invited to take part in the most delicious fundraiser of the year. By ordering a dozen (or two) original glazed doughnuts, 50% of the order will be donated back to DeBakey PTO to help offset expenses associated with field day activities, teacher appreciation events, club sports, HOSA competitions and many other ways your donations to the PTO help our school.

From now until April 29, 2023, you can get your dozens using our fundraising sales page below.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for DeBakey PTO

How it works: purchase your dozens online, visit your nearest Krispy Kreme store & redeem using your code. You can also purchase doughnuts and gift the redemption codes to friends and family across the country, or perhaps some well deserving colleagues!

Thank you in advance for your support, we hope you enjoy this sweet offer.

P.S. Dozens are redeemable nationwide, so feel free to share this page with other doughnut lovers!

St. Luke's Sugar Land Jr. Volunteer Program Launch

As the health care landscape continues to evolve, the St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital Volunteer Services Department is committed to developing future leaders who will become key members of the health care team. As part of this commitment, our Volunteer Services Department is offering programs for both high school and undergraduate students interested in learning more about the health care industry and building their future in health care.

For high school students, St. Lukes offers an 8-week, unpaid, Jr. Volunteer Program experience. This program is geared towards high school juniors and seniors interested in developing their interpersonal skills and learning the basics of the health care industry.

Currently, they are recruiting for 10-15 Jr. Volunteer positions for our June 2023 cohort. Based on Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions program offerings, we believe your students are a great fit for our programs!

Interested students should submit their application, which can be found at the following link, no later than FRIDAY MAY 12, 2023 AT 11:59 PM for consideration. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. For more information about volunteering, email Nicole Hubbard at nicole.hubbard900@commonspirit.org.

Boy Scount Troop 125

Troop-125 was founded in 1946 with the main focus on light-weight backpacking.  We are thus also known as the “backpack-ers.”

Boy Scouts offers a great opportunity for our children to explore and en-joy the great outdoors.  Furthermore, they will be provided with a structured environment in which to develop their independence and leadership and communication skills.  There are plenty of volunteering opportunities to earn service hours. The highest accomplishment in scouting is the Eagle Scout rank, which is looked upon favorably when advancing their education and/or career.  Troop-125 is sponsored by St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (5308 Buffalo Speedway).  We meet there every Monday 7:30-8:30 pm, and camp monthly over the weekend (Friday night – Sunday morning).  Next summer we are going to Dan Boone Scout Camp for summer camp. Use this link to check out the fun and excitement they have to offer: https://www.campdanielboone.org

For more info, please visit our web site (https://www.troop125.org) or Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/438277886518240). No prior scouting experience is required to participate. If interested, please e-mail Eric (ecc7550@icloud.com) or Brian (bwduffy@sbcglobal.net). We could arrange for you to visit in one of our Monday night meetings or campouts.
