PTO Uniform & Spirit Wear Sales

ATTENTION! ATTENTION!

We need student and adult volunteers for our upcoming DeBakey Uniform and Spirit Wear Sales which are August 15 - 20th. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year for the PTO. Student Dress Code

A copy of the 2022-2023 student dress code was recently shared with parents. Please be sure to view the [pdf] prior to the start of the new school year.

Volleyball Social and Rice/UT Exhibition Game - 08.20.2022

We will be hosting a volleyball social at the Rice/UT Exhibition game at 1PM on 08.20.2022. Tickets to the game are just $5. Learn more at riceowls.com/debakey.. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Common App: How to Strategize - Free Webinar

The Common App opens on August 1st, marking the official start of the admissions season. From the activities list to the additional information section, each of the Common App's sections offers students an opportunity to set themselves apart from their classmates.

To help students strategically complete their Common App, Nick Strohl, the former Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Yale, is hosting a free webinar—"The Expert Guide to the Common App: How to Strategize."

VIPS - Volunteers in Public Schools

Don't forget to renew your VIPS registration for the upcoming school year. VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) should be renewed each year.

By serving as a mentor, tutor, chaperone, and role model you are supporting HISD students, parents, and the future generations of the Houston community. Your work has special significance for our school communities and can be life-changing for our students.
