Volunteering with DeBakey PTO

It takes many hands to deliver on the PTO's mission; parent volunteers are always welcome! Students can  earn volunteer hours as well for certain events.

Adult volunteers must be VIPS approved.

Parents and relatives who plan to work alongside students in any capacity (chaperone, catering, coach, club sponsor, etc.) will need to register with the HISD’s Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) program.

Click here for information on the steps to register with VIPS. Approval can take 5-7 days.
